Sitting Down to Breakfast
(Puppet Script)

I was sitting down to breakfast, just about to begin,
When someone knocked on the door and said, “Can I come in?”
When I opened the door, what did I see?
It was a (puppet) looking at me!
I said, “Oh no, what can I do?”
He said, “If you’ve got enough for one, you’ve got enough for two!”

I was sitting down to breakfast, just about to begin,
When someone knocked on the door and said, “Can I come in?”
When I opened the door, what did I see?
It was a (puppet) looking at me!
I said, “Oh no, how can this be?”
He said, “If you’ve got enough for two, you’ve got enough for three!”

I was sitting down to breakfast, just about to begin,
When someone knocked on the door and said, “Can I come in?”
When I opened the door, what did I see?
It was a (puppet) looking at me!
I said, “Oh no, not one more?”
He said, “If you’ve got enough for three, you’ve got enough for four!”

I was sitting down to breakfast, just about to begin,
When someone knocked on the door and said, “Can I come in?”
When I opened the door, what did I see?
It was a (puppet) looking at me!
I said, “Oh no, not one more please?”
He said, “If you’ve got enough for four, then five can squeeze!”

Five guests for breakfast, what could I do?
Someone’s knocking at the door – hey, it’s YOU!

Cluck-Cluck, Red Hen
Cluck-cluck, red hen, have you any eggs?
Yes sir, yes sir, as many as your legs.
One for your breakfast, and one for your lunch
Come back tomorrow I'll have another bunch.

Do You Know the Muffin Man?
Oh, do you know the muffin man?
The muffin man, the muffin man
Oh, do you know the muffin man?
Who lives on Drury Lane?
Repeat with: "Yes, I know..." and "We all know..."

Five Fat Sausages
Five fat sausages frying in a pan
All of a sudden, one went KA-BLAM!
(Count down until none are left)

Hot Cross Buns
Hot cross buns, hot cross buns
One a-penny, two a-penny.
Hot cross buns

If You Like Your Eggs Scrambled
(Tune: Happy & You Know It)
If you like your eggs scrambled, clap your hands
If you like your eggs scrambled, clap your hands
Yes, they’re yummy and they’re yellow
So you’ll be a happy fellow
If you like your eggs scrambled, clap your hands

If you like your eggs fried, jump up high…
If you want bacon with your eggs, wiggle your legs…
If you want toast instead, nod your head (Mmm-hmm)...

I Love Eggs
(Tune: Frere Jacques)
I love eggs, I love eggs
Yum, yum, yum ; Yum, yum, yum
Scrambled, boiled or fried, any way I’ve tried
Yum, yum, yum ; Yum, yum, yum

Make A Pancake
Make a pancake, pat-pat-pat
Do not make it fat, fat, fat
You must make it flat, flat, flat
Mix a pancake, just like that!

Pancake Making
Stir a pancake
Mix a pancake
Pop it in a pan
Fry a pancake
Toss a pancake
Catch it if you can!

She’ll Be Frying Eggs for Breakfast When She Cooks
(Tune: Riding Six White Horses)
She’ll be frying eggs for breakfast when she cooks
She’ll be frying eggs for breakfast when she cooks
She’ll be frying eggs for breakfast, she’ll be frying eggs for breakfast
She’ll be frying eggs for breakfast when she cooks

She’ll be makin’ lots of bacon when she cooks…
Toast and jelly fill your belly when she cooks…

The Waffle Man
The waffle man is a fine old man,
He washes his face in a frying pan,
He makes his waffles with his hand,
Everyone loves the waffle man.

Who Wants A Pancake?
Who wants a pancake, piping hot?
"I'll take the one with butter on top."
Who wants a pancake, fresh off the griddle?
"I'll take the one with butter in the middle."

Who wants a pancake, piping hot?
"I'll take the one with syrup on top."
Who wants a pancake, fresh off the griddle?
"I'll take the one with syrup in the middle."

(simplified flannel version of Bill Martin book for Toddlers)
Baby bear, baby bear, what do you see?
I see my Mommy looking at me!
(repeat with other animals)

Bears in the Bed
(Tune of: Ten in the Bed)
There were five in the bed,
And the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over,"
So they all rolled over and one fell out...
(repeat until none are left)

Bear in Tennis Shoes
The other day (the other day)
I met a bear (I met a bear)
In tennis shoes (in tennis shoes)
A dandy pair (a dandy pair)
The other day I met a bear, in tennis shoes, a dandy pair.

He looked at me, I looked at him
He sized up me, I sized up him
(echo and repeat as with first verse)

He said to me, "Why don’t you run?
I see you ain't got any gun."

And so I ran, away from there
but right behind, me was that bear.

In front of me, there was a tree
the biggest tree that I could see

The nearest branch was ten feet up
I'd have to jump and trust my luck

And so I jumped into the air
But I missed that branch, a way up there

Now, don't you fret, now don't you frown
'Cause I caught that branch on the way back down

That's all there is, there ain't no more
Unless I met that bear once more.

The Bear Went Over the Mountain
The bear went over the mountain
The bear went over the mountain
The bear went over the mountain
To see what he could see!

The other side of the mountain
The other side of the mountain
The other side of the mountain
Was all that he could see!

Five Big and Grumpy Bears
(Tune of: Five Green and Speckled Frogs)
Five big and grumpy bears
Looked for a cave to share
Where they could sleep all winter long  (make snoring sounds)

One crossed the mountain wide
Found a cave - and crawled insight
Now there are four big grumpy bears  (growl, growl)

(repeat until none are left)

Fuzzy Wuzzy
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy - was he?

Teddy Wore His Red Shirt
(Tune of: Mary Wore Her Red Dress)
Teddy wore his red shirt,
Red shirt, red shirt,
Teddy wore his red shirt
All day long
