Five Little Apples

A-P-P-L-E
I know a fruit that grows on trees
And apple is its name-o
A-P-P-L-E, A-P-P-L-E,
A-P-P-L-E,
And apples is its name-o.

Leaves version of "London Bridge is Falling Down"
Red leaves are falling down, falling down, falling down
Red leaves are falling down
Falling to the ground.

Yellow leaves are swirling down...
Brown leaves are gliding down...

All the leaves are dancing around...

Flannel based on 'Ten Red Apples' by Pat Hutchins
Ten red apples hanging on a tree – Yippee, yippee, fiddle-dee-dee!
Horse came and ate one, chomp, chomp, chomp – Neigh, neigh
“Horse,” cried the farmer, “Save some for me!”

Repeat with cow, donkey, pig, sheep, duck, cat, dog and hen....

One red apple hanging on a tree – Yippee, yippee, fiddle-dee-dee!
“Hooray!” said the farmer, “You saved one for me!”

Use puppet and props to share 'Old Lady Who Swallowed A Pie'
I know an old lady who swallowed a pie,
A Thanksgiving pie that was really too dry.
Perhaps she'll die.

(Please refer to book by Alison Jackson for script)
